Our CDL upgrade courses focus on hands-on road and vehicle training to give you the targeted skills you need to operate the new class of vehicles. Our Class C to Class A upgrade course is an 80-hour course. As a student, you’ll spend 30 hours in observation, 16 hours in proficiency training, 16 hours in backing and maneuvering, and 18 hours on the road. All of this training takes place with our experienced CDL instructors, including one-on-one driving instruction. You’ll learn the details of shifting up to an 18-speed transmission, backing a trailer with a break, and completing full vehicle inspections. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a diploma, transcript, and Commercial Driver Training Certification and be prepared to take the CDL Class A test.
